Report Card Comments
75Teachers Pay Teachers
Teachers work hard and spend many of their own hours creating fun and exciting lessons. I recently located a site where teachers pay teachers. There are a number of free lessons as well. Sign up for free.
I hope all will find the humor in the parent teacher commentary on Youtube. I am being honest when I share with you that this is the exception and not the norm - at least from my perspective. I have been truly fortunate to have had very supportive and caring parents. I do believe that a lot stems from the teacher conveying how much they are on the side of the child. I have been able to speak to parents from the vantage point of also being on the other side of the table as a parent myself. I am very candid about my experiences walking in both roles. I believe that it helps parents to know they are not being judged but they are being supported.
I will continue to add to the list of comments and would love to hear from other teachers who also have some comments they would like to share that will be helpful to all of us in the profession.

trimar7, I found the video very funny. Your techer comments for report cards are well thought out. I would love to use a few but our program ties our hands. We can only choose from a preselected list. Great hub.
Great report card comments. I will be passing along the YouTube first thing in the morning with lots of my teacher friends. Nothing new!! But funny still.
Thanks for making time to write the comments. At the high school though, we don't have custom-made comments. They pre-populate which a list of comments, and we just type in which numbers apply for the student. Too bad we can't import some of your comments into our bank! Best of luck as you continue working with students and their families!
